I started my 14 year old cat on this when she started having problems with her joints. It has made a huge difference in her quality of life. She jumps and runs around like she is 10 years younger. I wholeheartedly recommend it for the older cat with joint problems. It’s easy to give her as it’s in a capsule form and I easily open the capsule and sprinkle the powder on her wet food, then mix it in and she eats it up and doesn’t know anything is different in her food. As I said a great product.

My elderly kitty had orthopedic surgery on his right knee in Feb ’07 and a month later he was still in pain and walking very gingerly. Our local vet suggested Nutramax Cosequin for Cats and within four days there was an absolutely dramatic change for the better. Moses stopped growling, crying, and biting his tail. He began walking around the bedroom in which he was confined (for safety). His appetite improved and he enjoyed grooming once again. He has continued his progress and his walk is sure-footed and appears painless. He sleeps well, is as active as his surgeon allows, and we are very thankful to have found this product. My fiancee believes that Glucosamine and Chondroitin enabled him to postpone his knee surgery for nearly ten years so he was not as surprised as I about our kitty’s improvement.

I bought these for my 10-year old cat. In recent months, I noticed him having trouble jumping onto the bed and couch, and also getting a bit slower when navigating the stairs. After just a few days of supplementing his food with these chews, I saw a noticeable improvement. Not only did his legs and joints seem better, but his overall demeanor and energy level improved, too. I imagine he felt happier and more energetic because his legs were working better. My only slight complaint about these chews is that the flavor does not appeal to my cat, and so I have to mash each with a fork, and “hide” it in his canned food. They would be a lot easier to administer if they were made in a cat-enticing flavor–I suspect the flavor was formulated with dogs in mind, instead. In any case, I’ve just ordered two more pouches, since 60 chews go fast! (Note: Because of the flavor issue, I also tried the chewable tablet version, Glyco-Flex II For Cats & Small Dogs 45 Chewable tablets but those were just about impossible to get him to eat–and very large for a cat’s mouth in general.)

My cat loves the soft chews. I break up the “treats” into little pieces so he has the experience of eating something. Otherwise, he’ll wolf the whole thing down with barely one chomp.

My cat is large, 14 years old, and has really bad arthritis in his elbows and lower back. It’s too early to tell if the product works — only been using it 10-14 days. He’s been a lot friskier, but I don’t know whether to credit Glyco-Flex, the extra attention, or coincidence.

We used a snuggie and blankets during the fall, but the plastic got cold by early morning, when the outside temperature was at its lowest. We needed an upgrade for the cold season. The kitty was initially shy and slept somewhere else the first night, because the texture of the cover was new to him (and maybe the pad squeaked a little). I placed him several times on the pad the next day, and he got the hang of it, and now he sleeps in his house all the time. He is warm all over when he gets out of the house, although it gets very cold around here (even -4F).

I read all the reviews for these mats and was concerned about the heating pad size. DON’T BE!! The heating pad runs almost the length of the mat and centers well in the middle. The fleece side of the mat is certainly my cat’s favorite side. It heats well and is already well loved. They must have upgraded the product, because the heating pad itself is now the perfect size for the cover.
